How we use browser storage
The GIB Media S.R.L. website, tax ID 26691821, Trade Register J05/394/2010, uses a technical session for form security and local storage for privacy preferences. The company address is Str. Seleusului, Nr. 26, Oradea, Bihor, Romania, 410561. When configured, Meta Pixel and Google Ads activate only after marketing consent. Accept all enables marketing, Google Analytics and Google Maps; Reject optional keeps them disabled.
Necessary form session
The gib_session cookie is created when you access a page with a form. It identifies the session for CSRF protection and messages after submission. It is a session cookie with HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax; on HTTPS it is marked Secure. It is not used for marketing. Blocking it may prevent form submission.
Your preferences
The gib_cookie_preferences_v3 localStorage key separately records marketing and map choices, the notice version and the date for up to 180 days. Previous consent, which did not cover Google Analytics, does not enable these tools. After that period we ask again. You can reopen the panel from the footer at any time. If your browser blocks local storage, your choice applies only to the current page.
Google Maps, only with permission
The Google map is optional external content. We do not load its iframe until you accept all optional categories or explicitly choose Accept and load map. Accepting only the map does not enable marketing. Google may process your IP address and browser details and use its own storage mechanisms. Refusal does not prevent access to services, contact details or forms.
Marketing: Meta Pixel and Google Ads
These tools are fully blocked before consent: we do not load their scripts or send conversion events, including cookieless signals. After acceptance, Meta may measure visits and the Lead event, while Google Ads may measure server-confirmed quote requests. Contact forms and sending errors are not quote conversions. Requests submitted before consent are not tracked retroactively. Cookies such as _fbp and _fbc (Meta), _gcl_* (Google Ads) and advertising local storage may be used. Google specifies 90 days for _gcl_ cookies; retention for other technologies is described in the providers’ policies. Your 180-day preference period is not the providers’ data retention period.
Google Analytics: traffic measurement
Only after accepting optional cookies do we enable Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand visits and website usage. Google may receive page addresses, browser and interaction data and use _ga and _ga_* cookies to identify visits and sessions. We do not send form fields as Analytics parameters. Withdrawing consent also stops Analytics and attempts to delete these cookies on our domain. Retention periods depend on the Google Analytics property configuration and Google policy.
Changing your choice
Refusing disables optional categories. The map is removed, and withdrawing marketing consent reloads the page to stop tools already loaded. We attempt to delete accessible advertising cookies on our domain. Withdrawal cannot undo data already transmitted or remove cookies on Google or Meta domains; manage those through your browser or provider accounts. See our privacy policy for personal data details.
